What I'm working on now

I had a stand with my paintings at "Art Sydney 2010" with lots of lovely feedback. It was fun having a chance to chat with people. Currently there are some paintings hanging at the Gordon branch of Westpac Bank, several pieces in Contours of Hair, several in the Little Gem Cafe, and nine as an experiment at Hamstead House Gifts, all in Gordon. There is also a small exhibition of paintings at Impression Framing at Roseville. It has been lovely to have local businesses offer to hang my paintings; a little community seems to be growing. Also, Gallery 41 in Woolloomooloo (gallery district of Sydney) has some from time to time as has Salmon Galleries at McMahons Point. One is currently taking part in a group exhibition at the Marianne Newman Gallery at Crows Nest.

My book of cartoons is still looking for a publisher...although I can't say I've actually been in touch with any recently. That might help!

!!!Duncan Ball's "My Sister Has a Big Black Beard"...a ridiculous book of poetry for kids which I illustrated...has received some wonderful feedback. I haven't started a new book yet because I am madly painting and painting. It is an exciting new direction and I am learning the business side as well as the painting and framing side.

Last month I had a delightful afternoon in the ABC radio studio while James Valentine was conducting his Afternoon Show...I was drawing cartoons/illustrations of everything going on...being watched by a webcam. VERY fun!!!! We'll do it again!
